Mike Wallace Joins The Steelers, Finally
With just one week left in the preseason Mike Wallace has officially ended his hold out and joined the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's about time. Wallace signed his one year tender for $2.7 million and will now wait 3 more days before he is able to physically participate in practice. He will not be available for the final preseason game verse Carolina.
How much has his hold out set him back? Only time will tell but Wallace insists he is ready to go. Now we just have to wait and see if he is prepared to go out on the field and earn the contract he so desperately wants to get.
The Steelers also activated James Harrison and Jason Worilds from the PUP list, and released 15 players to trim their roster. Those released include kicker Daniel Hrapmann, linebacker Mortty Ivy, and safety Myron Rolle.
The Steelers will have to reduce their roster again to 53 by Friday morning at 9am.
